| 17 year old Naja McComb, otherwise known as Nerdy Star, founder of Hood Nerds Youth Inc, has already made quite a name for herself. Star’s versatile musical abilities, as well as her unique style and vibrant two toned hair has garnered attention from fans not just in her home city of Minneapolis, but from fans across the nation. Recently featured on 50 Tyson’s hit single, “I Ain’t Gonna Lie,” Star is slowly gaining recognition as an up and coming superstar to the female rap game. Star is not just a rapper or vocalist; she’s also a gifted song writer and composer. Whether she’s writing poetry, lyrics or arranging vocals, Star has the ability to make words paint pictures and do things unimaginable by most. With her book of over 200 songs always by her side, Star is sure to demand attention upon their release. Star has been performing throughout the Twin Cities area for years. She was a member of an all girl trio that performed at various community events. This summer she was chosen from over 20 thousand kids nationwide to direct a video for national recording artist Usher and her team’s video was voted the winner by people across the nation. Star has a deep passion for music and dedicates every moment of her free time to writing, composing, and recording new material. As Star moves along in her journey, she plans on expanding on her talents as an artist, and becoming a recording and production engineer.
