50 Tyson thinks all of the diss videos popping up online are OK!!!
2011.01.08 23:49:37

50 Tyson has experienced popularity on many fronts since his climb to stardom began and his management team became engaged. He is doing many live shows, hosting regional events, and making TV, print and radio guest spots in venues around the nation.

But along with all of that, he has garnered attention from many other ambitious or wannabe hijackers who are making efforts to exploit themselves by using 50 Tyson's name in any way they can.  Most commonly we see hater videos popping up online with dissrespecting messages.

Of course, most or all of these videos are extremely whack, infringing, and designed only to get the authors some unearned attention.

50 Tyson says, "That's OK . The more they put my name out - the better it is for me. I don't hate them...really I love it.  People already know who I am and they know the haters are just putting out funny or dumb stuff.

But, I don't think it's right that big magazines put out anything bad for Autism or say Autism is retarded.  That just makes them look bad and makes me want to do my Autism awareness stuff even more.  People with Autism can really be good at what they do and might have to try harder, but be just as smart.  We should love any people with a talent ...that try hard...and do cool things"

2010.11.24 20:25:48
Since 50 Tyson signed with Hudson Records, his career is moving right along a good path. "His music keeps getting better, his focus is getting sharper, his fan base keeps growing, personal appearance requests keep pouring in, his live show is getting great feedback, and most importantly 50 Tyson is much happier these days. Hudson Records has been taping a new series a 50 Tyson videos to be released every week or so. His recent video release "I Don't Know How To Dougie But I Know How To Diddi" on World Star Hip Hop November 18th already has over 240,000 views. To top it off, 50 Tyson will be performing at his first Mix Tape release party at the Legendary First Avenue in Downtown Minneapolis on December 7th, 2010. Morrison were very adamant about making sure that 50 Tyson was handled with integrity and harmony with his Autism and his overall happiness. "To see 50 Tyson develop as a person, as an artist and as a champion for Autism is truly a blessing. We look forward to seeing this positve path continue for him". ~John Rittenour - Marketing Executive at Hudson Records.

17-year-old with autism is living rap dream, but at what cost?
2010.11.21 20:58:27
In many respects, Antonio Henderson-Davis is your typical 17-year old: He plays football on his high school team, likes rap music, dreams of going to college and maybe one day owning his own recording label. And, thanks to a video he shot on his sister's borrowed camera in the bathroom of his family's north Minneapolis home Henderson-Davis is also a Youtube sensation. Known by many as 50 Tyson, the 17-year-old's first video went viral, snagging nearly 4 million plus You Tube plays. Henderson-Davis is also autistic and that has left some, including teachers, coaches and family members, concerned about 50 Tyson's fling with fame. "He's the sweetest kid, but incredibly vulnerable," said his teacher Shandra Copeland. And while some have used the video to mock Henderson-Davis, he has, so far, coped. "I don't let people tell me that I can't rap," he said. "There's haters out there." In this photo:] Wherever he goes, Henderson-Davis is met by classmates and admirers of his rapper alter ego 50Tyson. Here, Henderson-Davis is embraced by members of the Edison football team, including Bernard Robinson (80), in the hallway before the team's final game. David Joles, Star Tribune

They Call Him 50 Tyson
2010.10.04 20:09:21

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!!

Every now and then a “Regular Joe” does something that get’s national and or even international attention from the public and or press making them a household name. With the Internet being the number one source for information and entertainment today…chances are these overnight successes are actually Internet Sensations. Otherwise how could a 17 year old rapper - high school football player – kid living with autism – recording most of his videos from his bathroom - using a hand held phone camera – from a humble north side Minneapolis, Minnesota neighborhood - attract over (12) million Internet fans in less than a week.

This young man is called “50 Tyson”. He has been told by his family and friends that he looks a little like the mega music artist known as “50 Cent” and a little like the legendary boxer Iron Mike Tyson; so, Antonio Henderson-Davis named himself, “50 Tyson”. At Edison High in Minneapolis, his football jersey sports the number (50). He claims, “Guys call him 50 and girls just call him N-Tyson.”

50 Tyson’s Internet Sensation journey began when he was a sophomore in high school and started rapping as a hobby. When living with autism it’s quite an amazing feat to be able to create hooks, write lyrics and perform raps but 50 Tyson’s is not an ordinary kid with autism. He made the varsity high school football team which speaks to one of his popular hooks “Born 2BA Ball Player”, he organized a music camp with friends T-Jeezy and Nerdy Star, he is proficient on the computer and fantastic at communicating online at every chance he gets to purposely build his network of fans.

50 Tyson’s popularity grew tremendously after comedian Kevin Hart posted a YouTube spoof and interpretation of 50 Tyson rapping. There were millions of people online tuning into the comedic back and forth and the series of events even gained the attention of the Comedy Channel. Since this series of events there have been tons of Internet activity around “I ain’t gonna lie…I’m 50 Tyson”. This activity drew the heartfelt attention of music executives Troy Hudson and Attorney James Wm. Morrison which led to a record deal with Hudson Records… Wow!

Both Hudson and Attorney Morrison have overcome life altering issues of their own and feel that, “… Autism only makes 50 Tyson special rather than handicapped or disabled”. Morrison says, “This young man has the heart of a champion. Hudson Records is dedicated to assuring that he succeeds in all levels of life. This is a long term commitment.” For 50 Tyson, this is just the beginning of a new career as an entertainer and as a spokesperson for Autism.

On September 26, 2010 Jordan Tower and World Star Hip Hop released a 50 Tyson video that achieved over (12) million views in (3) days. 50 Tyson and the crew from Hudson Records are now amping it up with a new series of music videos, reality video shorts, compilation joints with various artists and producers, live shows every night on ustream.com, worldwide requests for personal appearances, an awesome line of apparel, 50 Tyson bobble head dolls, charity fundraisers to advance Autism research and at the end of the day he’s still the same 50 Tyson.

50 Tyson has achieved the status of “Internet Sensation” without really changing what he does, who he is, and where he’s from. I guess it makes a lotta sense when he sings, “I Ain’t Gonna Lie Man…I’m 50 Tyson”.
