They Call Him 50 Tyson
2010.10.04 20:09:21

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!!

Every now and then a “Regular Joe” does something that get’s national and or even international attention from the public and or press making them a household name. With the Internet being the number one source for information and entertainment today…chances are these overnight successes are actually Internet Sensations. Otherwise how could a 17 year old rapper - high school football player – kid living with autism – recording most of his videos from his bathroom - using a hand held phone camera – from a humble north side Minneapolis, Minnesota neighborhood - attract over (12) million Internet fans in less than a week.

This young man is called “50 Tyson”. He has been told by his family and friends that he looks a little like the mega music artist known as “50 Cent” and a little like the legendary boxer Iron Mike Tyson; so, Antonio Henderson-Davis named himself, “50 Tyson”. At Edison High in Minneapolis, his football jersey sports the number (50). He claims, “Guys call him 50 and girls just call him N-Tyson.”

50 Tyson’s Internet Sensation journey began when he was a sophomore in high school and started rapping as a hobby. When living with autism it’s quite an amazing feat to be able to create hooks, write lyrics and perform raps but 50 Tyson’s is not an ordinary kid with autism. He made the varsity high school football team which speaks to one of his popular hooks “Born 2BA Ball Player”, he organized a music camp with friends T-Jeezy and Nerdy Star, he is proficient on the computer and fantastic at communicating online at every chance he gets to purposely build his network of fans.

50 Tyson’s popularity grew tremendously after comedian Kevin Hart posted a YouTube spoof and interpretation of 50 Tyson rapping. There were millions of people online tuning into the comedic back and forth and the series of events even gained the attention of the Comedy Channel. Since this series of events there have been tons of Internet activity around “I ain’t gonna lie…I’m 50 Tyson”. This activity drew the heartfelt attention of music executives Troy Hudson and Attorney James Wm. Morrison which led to a record deal with Hudson Records… Wow!

Both Hudson and Attorney Morrison have overcome life altering issues of their own and feel that, “… Autism only makes 50 Tyson special rather than handicapped or disabled”. Morrison says, “This young man has the heart of a champion. Hudson Records is dedicated to assuring that he succeeds in all levels of life. This is a long term commitment.” For 50 Tyson, this is just the beginning of a new career as an entertainer and as a spokesperson for Autism.

On September 26, 2010 Jordan Tower and World Star Hip Hop released a 50 Tyson video that achieved over (12) million views in (3) days. 50 Tyson and the crew from Hudson Records are now amping it up with a new series of music videos, reality video shorts, compilation joints with various artists and producers, live shows every night on ustream.com, worldwide requests for personal appearances, an awesome line of apparel, 50 Tyson bobble head dolls, charity fundraisers to advance Autism research and at the end of the day he’s still the same 50 Tyson.

50 Tyson has achieved the status of “Internet Sensation” without really changing what he does, who he is, and where he’s from. I guess it makes a lotta sense when he sings, “I Ain’t Gonna Lie Man…I’m 50 Tyson”.
